WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY?

Tuesday, February 4, 2025, 6 AM, 81 Degrees, 79% Humidity, W – SW 15.3 mph

The picture is of the elevator mat on the Zuiderdam. They change it every day, otherwise we’d never know what day of the week it is. This is today’s mat! Our phones and computers haven’t made the jump.

We went to bed Sunday night and woke up Tuesday morning; we had crossed the International Dateline! According to Zuiderdam’s Captain, we crossed the Dateline approximately 7:29 PM, Sunday and jumped 24 hours at that time so, it became 7:29 PM Monday. Technically, we had 4 ½ hours of Monday night before it became Tuesday morning!

So now, as we watch USA news programs from New York, it’s Monday morning there and Tuesday morning here. It’s a little disconcerting. Twilight Zone anyone??

Tonight, we will “Fall Back” as we enter another time zone, haven’t done that in a while. Not sure whether it will be one time zone or whether we’ll do it several times like before.
