We were entitled to ship three suitcases or boxes each through Luggage Forwarding for our World Cruise. Here are our six boxes, all labeled and waiting for pick-up. John always does an outstanding job packing boxes! They were on the porch, and then they were gone! No one knocked on the door to let us know they were picking up the boxes. I was afraid they would lose our boxes, and I’d spend the whole cruise with the clothes on my back! John was concerned the boxes would ALLarrive, and we WOULD NOT HAVE SPACE to put all the stuff – ship cabins are not large! The next day, we heard that our boxes were in the warehouse in Fort Lauderdale, waiting to go to Zuiderdam on January 4th. It took a lot of calculating since the ship had limited shopping for necessities. Do you know how much toothpaste, deodorant, and mouthwash you’ll use in 124 days? Lots! We got extended prescriptions through Express Scripts – fortunately, we don’t take much!

We have a driver taking us to Fort Lauderdale a day early. We’re staying in a hotel near the Port. The next day, we’ll take a shuttle to the ship! Hopefully, we’ll reconnect with our boxes then, plus the two suitcases of “essentials” we’re taking that couldn’t be shipped.
